Muchinshi village is one of the only communities that offer free education and activities to children under the age of 5. There is a preschool room next to the Fibwanse bakery where students ages two through six come Monday through Friday from 9:00-noon. There are anywhere between 25 and 50+ students in attendance. Children walk up to five or more kilometers to attend the preschool.
(3)Area of interest: Teaching
Muchinshi Upper Basic School has over 1700 pupils and currently provides grades 1-9. The school building is funded by the Zambian government. There are very few resources. Children are required to follow the stringent regulations set forth by the Zambian government on educational standards, fees and testing. Students travel from surrounding areas to come to Muchinshi.
(4)Area of interest: Tutoring

(5)Area of interest: Coaching

(6)Area of interest: Educational Scholarships
Individual educational scholarships awarded to eligible Zambian applicants. Scholarships are offered by completion of application and short interview with community committee. Zambian children in government, university and village school systems are eligible.
(2)Area of interest: Health/medicine
Muchinshi village has a rural health center run by the community. There are limited resources and medical knowledge. Muchinshi Rural Health Centre is the only medical center in the area and helps care for the surrounding villages.
